Lilia is a script typeface, designed based on the handwriting found on a 1956 postcard.
The “irregular” version of the typeface captures the spontaneity of the hand’s movement: its dancing x-height, angular shoulders, long stems and variations have been preserved, coming to life in the typeface’s many contextual variants.
The “regular” version, meanwhile, retains the essence, graphic characteristics, and dynamic flow of the handwritten style, but has been refined into a more stable version of the typeface (the regular version is still a draft at this point ).
